Abstract: The Southeastern Writing Center Association’s CARE (Center Acknowledgement and Recognition of Excellence) program offers the only certification developed by writing center professionals for writing centers. If you’re looking to engage your staff in meaningful reflection about your pedagogy, practices, mission, and values in ways that attend to your local contexts, CARE certification might be a good fit for your center.
